VAN HAL Ventures welcomed student as part of the Erasmus Student Mobility for Traineeships programme.

A student at TU Dortmund University, Tom completed his international internship with us from January to April 2026, gaining valuable experience within our Digital Marketing team.

During his internship, Tom contributed to projects focused on:

• Market research and market expansion strategies
• EU tender acquisition opportunities
• Government funding and investment support programmes

His work supported the development of systems designed to strengthen and expand EU tender opportunities across our venture activities. In addition, his research into funding initiatives helped identify ways to make investment opportunities more accessible and attractive across different markets.

Beyond the strategic and technical experience, the internship also provided valuable exposure to professional English communication within an international business environment — an increasingly important skill in today’s global workplace.

Outside the office, Tom embraced life in Dublin, building strong relationships with colleagues and expanding his international professional network.
